Parks, Rosa (1913-2005) African American Civil Rights activist; called "Mother of the Modern-Day Civil Rights Movement." Limited edition print titled "The Mentor," number 44 of 500 by A. Douglas, signed by Rosa Parks in black ink. The print shows five different scenes from Mrs. Parks' life, including two with Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. With an embossed seal at lower left "Rosa & Raymond Parks Institute". Fine. Matted and framed to an overall size of 26" x 31".

Malcolm X (1925-1965) American Black Muslim minister and spokesman for the Nation of Islam. In 1964 he left the Nation of Islam, went on a pilgrimage to Mecca and became a Sunni Muslim, the same year he founded the Muslim Mosque, Inc. and the Organization of Afro-American Unity. He was assassinated on Feb. 21, 1965, purportedly by members of the Nation of Islam. Sentiment and signature, "Hold fast / Bro Malcolm X" in black ink on a 1" x 2¼" piece of paper.
